Communications Manager

Alejandra Tijerina serves as a Communications Manager at SAM, leveraging her marketing expertise and social media savvy to create content that genuinely connects with audiences. In her role, she focuses on developing effective messaging and branding strategies to advance the goals of partner organizations.

Prior to joining SAM, Alejandra specialized in marketing communications for organizations across a variety of industries, from aerospace to boutique fitness. She thrives on learning and adapting to new audiences, expanding each organization's digital presence. These diverse experiences have honed her ability to craft tailored content for various audiences, ensuring maximum engagement and impact.

A proud Baylor University alumna, Alejandra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Her academic foundation, combined with her professional experience, allows her to approach tasks with a well-rounded perspective.

Originally from Houston, she relocated to Austin in 2024 to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

Outside of work, I love... trying new things! Whether it's exploring a hidden hiking trail, trying out a different workout class, or visiting a new restaurant, I love that there is always something new to explore in Austin.

My workplace superpower is... thriving in a fast-paced environment! I love managing several different projects, maintaining careful attention to detail, and adding meaningful personalization. Balancing all of these factors is like an exciting puzzle to me.

What inspires me about working with associations: I love that association management allows me to make a real difference in areas that people are passionate about. It's inspiring to see the way associations touch so many lives. Being able to contribute to their work in my own unique way is incredibly rewarding!
